Q. My husband is a physician. When I told him about the "mustard cure" for leg cramps, he laughed it off as just another old wives' tale.

Then when he had leg cramps during the night, I insisted on giving him a teaspoon of yellow mustard. Guess what? He is now a believer and has a small container of mustard on his nightstand!

A. Physicians should be skeptical. They are trained to seek scientific evidence. But experience is also worthwhile. If leg cramps disappear within seconds of swallowing a spoonful of yellow mustard, we think that is information worth sharing.

Leisurely soak in the bath for about twenty minutes to relieve minor muscle aches and pains. After your mustard bath, be sure to shower off to avoid the lingering scent of mustard on your skin. Unless you're into that, of course.

 Soothing mustard foot bath...Feet exhausted from a long day of standing? Make a soothing mustard foot bath! Combine 1 tablespoon mustard in a pan of warm to hot water. Stir the water well to completely dissolve the mustard, and dip those poor puppies in. This will leave your hands free to do more exciting things, like consume a sandwich.

 Lower back pain? Pulled some some strange muscle that you didn't know you had? End the agony by making a mustard paste for these targeted sore muscles. Combine powdered mustard seed and all purpose flour in a bowl (1 part mustard seed to 2 parts flour) and slowly stir in warm water to make a paste. Spread the mixture on one side square of cheese cloth and fold. now place the plaster on the ache, securing it with a bandage. Leave the plaster in place for no more than 20-30 minutes at a time, and feel those aches and pains just float away.

 Burn Relief...Whether it is a severe burn or a minor burn, it hurts like heck and the pain just won't go away.

Step 1, put the burned part of your body part under cool, running water. This will relieve some of the pain right away and will help to stop the progression of the burning.

Step 2 is probably the best, and least known remedy for throbbing pain from burns: ordinary mustard. There is something special (magic?) in everyday yellow mustard that quickly takes away the pain. Just spread a nice and thick layer of mustard over the area and go about your Iron Cheffing. You'll find that the pain goes away almost immediately.

CANCER FIGHTING DRINK


According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), more than one million people in the United States get cancer each year. A poor diet can contribute to the development of cancer, so it is important to eat healthy. The ACS recommends healthy food choices with a focus on plant-based foods. Eat fresh, eat well and real foods. Eat more of the following:

1. Blueberries: Many of the major diseases are caused or developed by chronic inflammation. Inflammation promotes free radicals, which lead to dangerous oxidation, cell damage, and cancer. The more these free radicals thrive, the more they multiply. The flavonoids in berries, which are part of a family compound called polyphenols, are what make berries so healthy. Polyphenols promote “the expression”of genes that reduce inflammation and also promote the body’s antioxidant system.

2. Pineapple: New research shows that the bromelain in pineapples helps with cancer treatment. According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, “Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme, which can be helpful in treating cancer because it helps restore balance to your immune system, among other cancer-fighting benefits.”

3. Ginger: According to a Georgia State University study, ginger root may actually kill human prostate cancer cells.

4. Spinach: Spinach is one of the most nutritious foods in the world. A study in Japan showed that some of the nutrients in spinach may help protect DNA, reduce cancer cells, and slow tumor growth.

ACTION:
1/2 pineapple
1 cup of blueberries
1/2 inch piece of ginger
1/2 cup of spinach
Drink immediately
You can drink this juice once a day on a regular basis

Potatoes are uses as a primary ingredient in many dishes. Do you know about green potatoes? These green potatoes are green due to high amount of chlorophyll .But food lovers, that green potatoes are very dangerous for health.

The scientific researches are say that green potatoes have high amount of a poisonous chemical called solanine that can lead to nausea, headaches diarrhea, vomiting many other ailments, if it is consumed by fault.

The green colour of a potato is mainly due to high amount of chlorophyll, which is basically not harmful for health. But in fact it is a signal that the amount of solanine, which is generated at that time when the chlorophyll is also produced, has raised too.

A current report is presented by Alexander Pavlista, who is a professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincon. In the report it was told that — a 100 pound man would have to consume nearly 16 ounces of a totally green potato to fell ill.

It was noticed that the green potatoes were never send to the market for sale. And to prevent the production of solanine, it is always suggested that potatoes should be stored in cool and dim light places, remove the green areas before its consumption.

If the taste of the green potato — is found to be bitter, than don’t consume it. This green diet would prove to be harmful so just avoid it.
